Description Destination
The animal protection run has become a must for sporty animal lovers. Together with the Vienna Animal Protection Association and the sports club Team VEGAN.AT, we are once again organizing this year's popular sporting event on Prater Hauptallee. On October 6, sports enthusiasts will once again be competing for the animals. Last year there were over 700, a complete success! Animal lovers of all ages can take part in four different competitions ranging from 100 meters to 10 kilometers. All proceeds go to the Vegan Society’s projects and thus support important animal welfare work.
Apply:
100m kids' race: 0-7 years, free, start 11:30 a.m. (starting numbers are made by yourself, no start number collection necessary!)
850m school run 8-13 years, Warm Up: 11:45 am, Start: 12:00 pm
5km and 10km main races, warm up: 1:15 p.m., start: 1:30 p.m.
5km Nordic Walk, Warm Up: 1:15 p.m., Start: 1:40 p.m.
To provide support and motivation during the run, there are also pacemakers who you can join to achieve a specific target time. For anyone who would like to familiarize themselves with the route before the race, the VEGAN.AT team offers guided preparation runs. Free running training with certified trainers is available on three dates. No advance registration is necessary, so just come along!
