Description Destination
The treetop path winds its way through the mixed forest at the summit of the Grünberg with a total length of 1,400 meters and a height of up to 21 meters - and offers, along the way, not only unique views but also numerous educational and adventure stations, a slide and an observation tower.
With the comic rally, children can explore the treetop path in a playful way and acquire nature education knowledge at the same time. Using a comic book and a pen, the children answer exciting questions, the answers to which can be found on the information boards along the path. There is a small reward waiting at the end.
The path and the observation tower are designed to be barrier-free and family-friendly.
The treetop path can be reached with the Grünberg cable car or by a one-and-a-half-hour hike up the Grünberg. There are various ascent options with varying levels of difficulty. For hiking enthusiasts, we recommend a walk to Lake Laudach after visiting the trail. If the fresh air makes you hungry, you can enjoy typical Austrian cuisine at the Grünbergalm restaurant.

Directions
A particularly environmentally friendly way to travel to the treetop path is by public transport.
1st step: Take the Austrian Federal Railways to Gmunden.
2nd step: Take the Traunseetram from Gmunden train station or from Vorchdorf to the “Gmunden Seebahnhof” stop.
3rd step: From the Seebahnhof stop it is only a five-minute walk to the valley station of the Grünberg cable car.
If you are arriving by car, please enter the valley station of the Grünberg cable car with the following address: Karl-Josef-von-Frey-Gasse 4, 4810 Gmunden. PAID parking spaces are available in the immediate vicinity.
The Salzkammergut treetop path cannot be reached by car.
