The Watles hiking and skiing area above Burgeis and Mals is an ideal starting point in both summer and winter for numerous well-marked and family-friendly hikes with fantastic panoramic views of the Upper Vinschgau valley basin and the surrounding Alps.

Watles is particularly popular with families. Active holidaymakers can reach the mountain station at 2,150 m in just a few minutes with the 4-seater chairlift. Below the chairlift mountain station there is a popular children's playground, the games lake has numerous attractions and fans of this sport can show off their skills on two courses in the 3D archery facility. And the mountain carts take you directly from the mountain station down the 4 km long forest path to the valley station.

      The 1500 m² play lake offers the little guests lots of free adventures with a wooden raft, a large suspension bridge, a spring, 2 m high waterfalls and a small stream. Cozy snack stations with seating areas invite you to have a picnic together. On the sandy beach with wooden loungers you can unwind and enjoy the breathtaking mountain panorama up close.

      Archery is also a popular activity in the summer recreation area of ​​Watles.
      The 3D archery facility above Burgeis near the mountain station on the Watles adventure mountain not only offers a fantastic view of the surrounding mountain ranges, but also a 3D panoramic course with a total of 28 animals, a shooting range and a bow rental.
      The archery facility can be easily reached by chairlift and, due to the different levels, is suitable for beginners and families with children as well as for experienced archers.
      Those interested can gain their first experience with this sport during the archery taster course.

      What the toboggan is in winter, the Watles Riders are in summer. One of the main attractions of the new play lake on the Watles adventure mountain is the Watles Riders. From the mountain station, the fun sports equipment takes you down the four km long forest path (the toboggan run in winter) to the valley station. Watles Riders are very environmentally friendly, they have no motor and therefore cause neither noise nor exhaust fumes.
