Description Destination

The privately run Leintal Zoo is a small animal park in a natural park. The main attraction is one of the largest chimpanzee groups in Germany with over 30 chimpanzees. Primates, birds and pets are a focus. Around 250 animals in around 40 species have found a home in the Leintal Zoo, many of which are previously unwanted or rescued animals.
A nature trail, a viewing pond with a glass pane for a view under water and the natural park design with wild areas invite you to get to know the local nature. A large shady playground next to the cafeteria invites parents and children alike to stay. The zoo cafeteria is vegetarian and vegan.

      The chimpanzee group is one of the largest in Germany. Over 30 chimpanzees, half of them male, live together in a complex enclosure complex consisting of several outdoor and indoor enclosures. The wire enclosure allows the monkeys to use their enclosure in three dimensions. This is particularly impressive during feedings. But the close contact with the glass panes is also an unforgettable experience.
