Description Destination
A trip to the Bürgeralpe is an experience for the whole family. With the “Bürgeralpe Express” you glide in modern 8-person cabins from the center of Mariazell to 1,267 meters.
Once you arrive at the Bürgeralpe, an exciting “WanderWunderWald” opens up:
In the woodcutters' country, children experience in a playful way what was once a hard job to earn a living. With the forest train “Basti Express” you can take a ride around the forest and crystal lake! Biberwasser is the play world of mascot beaver Basti: ball runs, eagle's nest, giant slide, raft regatta, gold panning and much more. guaranteed not to let you get bored! “Pack your swimming trunks” is the motto for a ride on the water ski lift on the flying carpet over the Crystal Lake.
With the Wald8erbahn “Flylina’s Witch’s Flight” you float – alone or in tandem with your child – between the treetops for 150 seconds. At the end of the 340-meter-long flight, you walk back along the forest adventure trail. “The Secret of the White Tower” is revealed at seven puzzle stations.
Three new orienteering routes through the WanderWunderWald complete the mountain adventure: equipped with a special map, fun in the snow for the whole family is the winter motto of the Mariazeller Bürgeralpe. There are 8 slopes to choose from, each with a length of 11 km and every level of difficulty, as well as a 1.7 km long toboggan run. From experts to beginners – our slopes offer the best conditions for everyone – tested and awarded the Styrian Slope Quality Seal.

Kann man mit Kinderwagen in die Gondel?
Eva P. asks-
Liebe Eva!
