Description Destination

Since its opening in 2009, the Museum Brandhorst has established itself as a central location for contemporary art in Germany. Behind the spectacular façade made of 36,000 ceramic rods, you can experience and discover outstanding works of contemporary art.

The museum houses by far the largest collection of Andy Warhol's works in Europe. The focus on the work of Cy Twombly is also unique worldwide. His monumental "Lepanto" cycle (2001) is permanently on display in a room that was specially designed according to the artist's wishes.
