Description Destination

The starting point for the hike is at the foot of the Sattelberg, about 150 m east of the Pension Concordia and can be reached from Ramsau-Kulm in about 20 minutes on foot or by car. The circular route takes you in about 3 hours over the Sattelberg summit past 16 different stadiums.
There is a lot to discover: the research station with Kali's forest computer center, mountains from the sea and lots of games on various nature and environmental topics. As a reward, the little explorers receive Kali's explorer certificate at the Ramsau am Dachstein tourist office.
The children's mountain in Ramsau am Dachstein lives up to its name and has even more to offer: the Ramsaurier Zwergerl farm (with display and game boards in toddler size) is Kali's play paradise for the youngest. It is located directly next to the Sattelberghütte. In addition to the large forest playhouse and the “Little Ramsau Water World”, you will also discover three real children’s climbing routes while hiking along the Ramsau nature and environmental adventure trail.

      Kali, Kala, Kalo and Heidi the children's and youth climbing routes in Ramsau am Dachstein
      As a special attraction, the children's via ferrata Kali and the youth via ferratas Kala, Kalo and Heidi were built on the Ramsauer Kinderberg. The climbing routes are secured in a child-friendly way and lead from the old Ramsau grain mill to the Kinderberg summit. A summit experience with a summit cross and a wonderful view of the Ramsaurierland is guaranteed. Then abseil down the specially designed children's and youth abseiling track, the Flying Fox.
      When climbing via ferratas, the Flying Fox may ONLY be used under expert supervision – a “brake” (with a brake rope) is required, otherwise you will crash into the tree below with great force.
      Access: From the car park at the old mill in Ramsau Rössing, take the path to the right and it will take you to the start in just a few minutes.
      Descent: From the exit, turn right along the nature and environmental adventure trail, past the Pension Concordia, back down to the Ramsaubach and via the Hofrat-Gruber-Weg back to the car park at the old mill. Alternatively, you can exit to the left along the adventure trail or take the shortcut to the Sattelberghütte. From there you return to the starting point.
      Equipment: Complete via ferrata equipment, possibly safety rope for children and teenagers.
