Description Destination
The Torre Belvedere, or "al Castel" as the people of Bergell say, stands on top of the rocky ridge in the Maloja Glacier Pothole Reserve, where the terrain drops 350 meters from the Upper Engadine into the Val Bregaglia.
In 1953, Pro Natura was able to purchase the tower together with the surrounding mountain pine forest and the glacial potholes and establish a nature reserve. Today, the tower is one of Switzerland's nature centers and is open to everyone. The platform on the tower offers a breathtaking view of the Engadine and the Val Bregaglia.
