Here you can look, feel, feed and ask questions. Can moon jellyfish hear? Are poisonous weever fish really dangerous? Do catsharks have seven lives? If you dare, you can hold a shore crab or a common starfish in your hand or touch a shark's jaw and the teeth of a porpoise. There is often the opportunity to experience the fascinating world of plankton and the like through a microscope. Then it's off to the aquarium room. It is a unique experience for children to watch the voracious flatfish and the ever-hungry sticklebacks being fed or even to feed the animals themselves.

The Baltic Sea station is located on the Priwall peninsula directly at the Passat harbor within sight of the tall sailing ship, the four-masted barque Passat.
From Lübeck you can reach us with bus lines 30 & 31 - Priwallfähre stop (or Strandbahnhof*) and express bus line 40 - Teutendorfer Weg stop (or Strandbahnhof*)

It is also easy to arrive by train from the direction of Lübeck (from the harbor station it is a few minutes' walk to the car ferry; the Strandbahnhof is near the passenger ferry*).

Weiterhin haben bei uns die zweibeinigen Gäste Vorrang. Dies bedeutet, falls ein anwesender Gast beispielsweise Angst vor Hunden hat, würden wir in dem Fall keine Hunde bei einer Führung zulassen. Blindenhunde sind von dieser Regelung selbstverständlich ausgenommen.
