Description Destination
The WILDWALD Vosswinkel is a nature adventure park in the Sauerland and is located in the Lüerwald nature reserve on the B7 between Menden and Arnsberg-Neheim.
The area, which is over 650 hectares in size, is home to numerous native game species such as red deer, fallow deer, mouflon and wild boar. Over 250 hectares of forest are accessible for visitors, and over 12 kilometers of hiking trails are “available” to guests.
The WILDWALD is not a classic zoo or animal park! The animals live in enclosures designed to be as close to nature as possible, and visitors encounter the large game animals “without a fence between humans and animals”.
From viewing platforms, the game can be observed in its natural habitat, forest stations and small information boards explain (and inspire) about nature and provide information about the large and small special features of the Lüerwald.
A forest school, a barefoot path, a large adventure playground, picnic areas and forest huts as well as numerous free-roaming animals complement this natural offering.
During the high season (April to October) the WILDWALD is open daily from 9 a.m. to at least 5 p.m.
In the low season (November to March) we are open on weekends and during the Christmas holidays in North Rhine-Westphalia from 10 a.m. to at least 3 p.m.
