Our canyoning Allgäu highlight in Sonthofen/Allgäu: The Starzlachklamm! The Starzlach, which rises at an altitude of 1,070 m between the Wertacher Hörnle and the Grünten, has created one of the most beautiful gorges in the Allgäu. The Starzlachklamm, which was opened in 1932 and has been a nature reserve since 1951, lives up to its name, which means “river jumping over rocks”.
After we have met, greeted and dressed at the Strazlachklamm car park, we begin with a short 25-minute climb along the gorge hiking trail and reach our entrance to the gorge. Once we get there, the first thing we get to do is enjoy a short safety briefing including abseiling training.
After that, you can get started right away. On our Canyoning Allgäu beginner half-day tour you will enjoy a spectacular abseiling point through a waterfall (12m), jumps into deep pools and a breathtaking 13m final slide.
As always, our main focus is on experiencing nature and having fun with the sport of canyoning, which means "everything is possible, but nothing is necessary". If someone doesn't feel confident about something, we always find another solution.
