Description Destination
The history of transit traffic over the Alpine passes Splügen and San Bernardino is the focus of the exhibition in Splügen.
Various devices such as chests and barrels from the time of the pack animals can be viewed. The museum also documents rural life using agricultural equipment and utensils for textile work. The museum is located in the Palazzo of Johann Paul von Schorsch in the old part of the village of Splügen. This is one of the most magnificent Schorsch houses in Splügen and has beautiful interior decorations in the form of frescoes with mythological depictions.
