The new Ippenburg barefoot and nature trail
All visitors are already excited about the new Ippenburg highlight, the barefoot and nature course, with more than 20 stations!
There they say: take off your shoes and march! At stations embedded in nature, your feet will experience some adventures and tests of courage. Starting with a cooling dip, the trail goes over peach stones, stones, cones, glass and gravel to the large ford through a small lake, which the brave can cross.
After wading through the ford, the barefoot course with the changing materials is crossed. The feet can be washed and the shoes can be put back on if desired. Directly adjacent to the ford is the large "insect resort", a unique insect hotel complex with a bee wall, various small hotels for parasitic wasps, bumblebees & Co, boxes for lacewings, a clay wall for ground wasps, etc. A nature and sensory trail with many educational, poetic and humorous stations leads through the wilderness and ends at a large sand playground, where children can immerse themselves in free play and adults can relax on the numerous benches and loungers before exploring the large Ippenburg garden area further, wandering through the garden shop or enjoying the homemade delicacies of the castle café.
