DIRECTIONS TO THE HEUNEBURG MUSEUM
The municipality of Herbertingen, in whose area the Heuneburg Museum is located, is located in the southeast of Baden-Württemberg in the district of Sigmaringen. The municipality is well connected to the regional transport network via federal highways 32 and 311 as well as the Danube and Allgäu-Zollern railways.

You can easily reach the Heuneburg Museum via the B 311 (Ulm-Donaueschingen) and the B 32 (Ravensburg-Hechingen). The exit is between Herbertingen and Mengen and is well signposted. Through the center of Herbertingen-Hundersingen, in the direction of Binzwangen, you will reach the Heuneburg Museum.

Herbertingen station is on the Ulm – Neustadt (Black Forest) and Aulendorf – Tübingen lines. Trains to and from Ulm, Tübingen and Aulendorf (Lake Constance region) stop every hour. Direct connections to and from Stuttgart and the Black Forest run every two hours. You can find your travel connections at www.efa-bw.de and www.bahn.de. You can reach the Heuneburg Museum from Herbertingen train station in about half an hour (approx. 2.5 km) or within about 4 minutes by call bus (see below for more information).

The Heuneburg Museum can be reached on foot from Herbertingen train station in about half an hour (approx. 2.5 km).
A quicker option is the on-demand bus service operated by Reisch GmbH Omnibusverkehr from Mengen. School classes/groups, but also individuals can come from 01.04. until 31.10. of a year (Tuesday to Friday; not on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays) use the bus from Herbertingen (train station), past the Heuneburg Museum, to the Heuneburg Open Air Museum. The buses usually operate as on-demand buses, which must be booked at least two hours before departure. You can find more detailed information here.
