Experience the impressive history of Hirsau’s monastery culture. In the former Benedictine monastery of St. Peter and Paul you will encounter an important piece of medieval history. Feel the fascination of days long gone in the St. Aurelius Monastery and the Monastery Museum. The graceful herb garden lets you pause for a while and relax.

Children's tours:
Monastery Tour of St. Peter and Paul for Children
During this tour, children can easily learn about the importance of the monastery in the Middle Ages. In a subsequent quiz, they can apply the knowledge they have just acquired and learn more interesting details.
Duration: approx. 1 hour
Price: 45.00€
Numerous special tours on a wide variety of topics take place throughout the year.

From mid-June to the end of August there are restrictions in the monastery due to the Calwer Klostersommer and the Hirsau Open Air Cinema.

    Calw with the district Hirsau is located about 60 km southwest of the Baden-Württemberg state capital Stuttgart. Calw can be reached via the A 5, A 8 and A 81 motorways and then via the B 295, B 296 and B 463 federal highways.
