The Groß Briesen riding and adventure farm is surrounded by sand, pine trees and unlimited riding opportunities. On the four-sided farm in Brandenburg on the edge of the Havelland region, we welcome our guests in a family-friendly and child-friendly atmosphere. We offer an individual riding program for children, families, adults and people with disabilities.
Our Icelandic horses and ponies are suitable for both beginners and advanced riders due to their good nature and temperament. We want our guests to find joy in riding without fear and according to their abilities, in accordance with our concept of "Riding without fear and drill".
Our offers
Riding holiday week for 695€ from Sunday to Friday (incl. 5x B&B & 8x horse program) for families & adults
Non-riding companions, e.g. B. Dads, grandmas or grandpas are also very welcome and pay only 335€ for 5 nights for accommodation and meals without riding program. The holiday offers at our riding school are aimed at the whole family and can be individually extended by arrangement.
Riding weekend for 320€ per person from Friday to Sunday (incl. 2x B&B & 4x horse program) for families, adults and children travelling alone
For simple and extended riding weekends, you will ride once on the day of arrival and departure, and twice on all other days. On the afternoon of the day of departure, it is possible to make up for a missed riding lesson, e.g. from the day of arrival, and to book an additional 5th riding lesson. Non-riding companions are very welcome and pay 140€ for 2 nights for accommodation and meals without riding program.
Arrival is from 1 p.m. Departure takes place after lunch or the afternoon ride, which can last until about 5 p.m.

Latecomers
Many people of the older generation have sat on a horse at least once. There are certainly good memories of this, but maybe also bad ones. Others have always wanted to ride, but have not dared to do so. We would like to help all these people get started - or rather - onto the horse. A fear-free atmosphere and pedagogically sound teaching methods are guaranteed so that our riding students are not overwhelmed. In this way, it is possible to reduce insecurities and build self-confidence.
Mother or father & child and families
Mother or father and child couples can often be found at our riding stables.
No matter who is encouraging whom and how different the riding skills of the Mukis and sometimes Vakis are, we have a suitable riding offer for everyone on our Icelandic horse farm.
There is the riding daughter with her returning or new mother, or the riding mother with her “sniffing around” son.
Non-riding companions, e.g. dads, grandmas or grandpas, are also very welcome. The many holiday options at our riding stables are aimed at the whole family.
childcare
For all moms and dads who are interested in horse riding and whose offspring are part of the playgroup or who are not (yet) horse lovers, we have a very special offer in our annual program: you go riding and relax - we look after the kids. We offer this service free of charge during certain holiday periods.
Winter holiday
After the diverse events, the exciting children's riding holidays, extensive trail rides and many other activities, a little peace and quiet returns to farm life during the winter season. It is the time when we get our foals used to their new surroundings, break in the young horses and take care of those guests who want to enjoy the winter tranquility of the farm. Small groups, red noses and individual care are now the order of the day. Massages, wellness and relaxation in the stone thermal baths are now on the program. In keeping with the cold season, we can tailor our riding and holiday program to the weather. Riding in the snow, mulled wine by the campfire, ponies with hoarfrost - that's Groß Briesen in winter.
Leisure program
During your holiday we will go on horseback rides into the beautiful landscape of the Hoher Fläming Nature Park. But our region also has a lot to offer beyond the riding routes: excursions with trained nature and culture guides, pottery in one of the many studios, hiking on the art trail, relaxing in the Steintherme Bad Belzig or romping in the Brandenburger Rappelkiste.
Sightseeing features
A trip to the historically interesting Wiesenburg Castle conveys the customs and traditions of its former residents. You can unwind and relax on a stroll through the idyllic castle park.
Get to know medieval Belzig or the three-part Brandenburg on an interesting city tour. You can explore the New Town, the Old Town and the Cathedral Island of Brandenburg from the Havel on an exciting boat trip.
Catering and accommodation
Of course, we also take care of the physical well-being of our guests.
Four meals and one vegetarian dish are freshly prepared in the kitchen every day. Drinks are available to our guests free of charge at any time.
A total of 18 spacious, newly renovated multi-bed rooms, each with 3 or 4 bunk beds, are available to accommodate our guests. We accommodate children and young people in these rooms according to their age. Adult holiday guests can book these rooms as single or double rooms. Families and couples each receive a separate family room. Most rooms have a private bathroom with shower and toilet. The newly designed conference and seminar room offers space for up to 30 people.
Sun terrace
We have a large dining and lounge room with a disco system and games facilities as well as the “old bakery” with TV and video.
Outside, a large sun terrace and the green inner courtyard invite you to linger.
