Description Destination
The 7-kilometer-long natural toboggan run on the Hochwurzen in Schladming is one of the longest toboggan runs in the Alps. It is ideal for tobogganing during the day as well as at night.
Tobogganing on the Hochwurzen is a special experience, especially for our younger guests. On the winding toboggan run, young and old can enjoy the magical mountain panorama.
Stopping for refreshments is part of it – and is not neglected on the Hochwurzen. The huts are well distributed from the start to the finish of the toboggan run and offer enough space even for larger groups.
You can bring your own toboggans or rent them on site. The Hochwurzen cable car then takes you up to the Hochwurzen mountain station, where the tobogganing fun can begin.
The Hochwurzen summit cable car and use of the toboggan run are included in the Ski Amade day tickets and multi-day tickets. If you don't have a ski pass yet, you can purchase single rides, hourly tickets or a day ticket. A separate evening ticket is required for night tobogganing.
If the stopover during night tobogganing takes a little longer, it is very important to pay attention to the slope opening times! From 11 p.m. the lights will be turned off, the slope will be closed and groomed with piste groomers on ropes!
