In the Tierpark + Fossilium Bochum you can marvel at magnificent black vultures, curious meerkats and ancient giant tortoises.
Experience the new ASIAN WORLDS with small-clawed otters, porcupines and binturongs and explore the rainforest at night, where sugar gliders and slender lorikeets greet you. Take a detour to the NORTH SEA WORLDS to see the seals and waders or travel back to prehistoric times in the AQUARIUM AND TERRARIUM HOUSE with fossils that are millions of years old. Next door, colorful fish swim and rare lizards climb around.
The petting zoo, show food kitchen and the large zoological exercise playground are a highlight for the whole family.

By bus and train
Take the train or S-Bahn to Bochum main station. Bus lines 336, direction DO-Lütgendortmund, and 339, direction BO-Querenburg/Harpen, start at the station forecourt. Get off at the "Tierpark" stop. The bus stops directly at the entrance to Tierpark + Fossilium Bochum.
Alternatively, you can take tram lines 308/318 from the main station, direction Bochum Gerthe, Schürbankstr., to the "Planetarium" stop and take the "Planetarium" exit there. After about 5 minutes' walk along Klinikstraße, you will reach the entrance to Tierpark + Fossilium Bochum.
