Description Destination
The Waldshut game reserve is home to a wide variety of animals, some of which are also native to our forests. In addition to various species of deer and wild boar, you can also observe ibexes and mouflons, dwarf goats, owls and other birds as well as some small animals. It is the ideal place to spend a relaxing day and get to know the forest inhabitants of the area. There are vending machines with food that can be used to feed some of the animals. If you get hungry, there is a kiosk with cool drinks and delicious snacks in the summer months. A large playground also offers the little visitors the opportunity to really let off steam.
From the old town of Waldshut you can reach the game reserve by car within 10 minutes. It is also possible to hike to the game reserve. You can get there via the Mittelweg in about 2 kilometers in 45 minutes.

From Waldshut you can reach the game reserve by first following the Gurtweiler road in the direction of Gurtweil. After a short while you will see a crossroads. Follow the signs there and turn right. A road through the forest will take you to a hiking car park. From there you continue to follow the road and you will reach the game reserve, where there are plenty of parking spaces.
