The Pharmacy Museum has enriched the Upper Austrian museum landscape since 2007.
The special museum, unique in Austria in terms of form and scope, is based on the pharmaceutical history collection of the Aichberger pharmacist family based in Mauthausen.
In a tour with a multilingual audio guide (D, E, I, CZ, children's section) or personal tour (registration required) through five thematically clearly structured rooms, the exhibition documents the development of small country pharmacies, touches on the discovery of important medicines and has an extensive collection of historical herbal and pharmacopoeias.
