Description Destination
The castle, which dates back to the 12th or 13th century, was already a court seat and owned by the sovereign at the beginning of the 14th century. Today, only the round, mighty keep rises from the remains of the walls of the former residential buildings. Legend has it that the stones of the castle were removed and used to rebuild the parish church in 1799 after the fire. The round tower is 33.5 m high, and a wooden staircase with 164 steps inside leads to the viewing platform.
