Arriving by train:
Direct connections from Bern (13 min.), Olten (29 min.), Solothurn (27 min.), Thun (53 min.) and Zurich (1h10). From the train station, a 15-minute walk through the old town leads to the castle. From 8 a.m. to 11 p.m., bus 461 runs every 15 minutes to Kronenplatz, from where the castle can be reached in 3 minutes on foot.
Arriving by bike:
Burgdorf is on the well-known heart route from Lake Geneva to Lake Constance. The Emmental offers other attractive bike tours such as the Napf heart loop. There are enough bike parking spaces at the castle hill (bike parking at Schlossgässli and in Vorburg) and charging cables for e-bikes at the castle.
Arriving by car:
Burgdorf is 10 minutes from the A1 Kirchberg exit and can be easily reached from all over Switzerland. There are no parking spaces at the castle. Please use the Oberstadt car park or the other parking spaces in the city.
