Description Destination

Anyone who visits the Alternative Wolf and Bear Park in the Black Forest will not experience an ordinary zoo. It is an extraordinary project by the FOUNDATION for BEARS. And as the word "alternative" already suggests, things are quite different in this park.
The rescued park inhabitants have often experienced terrible things: circuses, small, cramped cages, abuse through tourism or illegal trade. But that's finally over now: On 10 hectares of forest and meadowland, they can finally experience what it means to be a wild animal, and you can watch them!
Visitors can expect to discover bears, wolves and lynxes, as well as a nature playground, an exciting research trail, guided tours and events, and freshly prepared food and refreshments in our log cabin Bärenblick.
On the first Saturday of every month, we invite you to the evening event "Night in the Bear Park" (registration required).

What's rustling in the bushes? A wolf?
The walk through the open area quickly turns into a safari. Thickets, open areas and small woodlands alternate along the stream in the park. There's a rustling sound in the bushes. At the back of the blackberry hedge - isn't that the ear of a wolf sticking out?
Observe closely, take your time, stand still and listen: This is how you experience the animals in the Alternative Wolf and Bear Park Black Forest and, at the same time, support active animal welfare work with your visit!

    Leider nichts für kleine Kinder

    Schönes zu Hause für die Tiere, allerdings eher ungeeignet für einen Buggy oder nich Trekking Kinderwagen. Dazu war es für unsere 2, 3 und 4 Jahre alten Kids eher nichts. Nicht rennen ok, leise sein schwierig, Begegnung mit dem Park Fahrzeug unschön. Wir mussten mit den Kids und dem Kinderwagen den Hang halb hoch, weil die Mitarbeiter vom Park leider nicht 2 min warten konnten bis wir vorbei waren.
    Spielplatz leider nicht wirklich vorhanden.

    Toller Park!

    Wir haben viele Tiere gesehen und fanden es total schön! Auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert! Der Preis war sehr angemessen und die Gehege schön und sehr naturbelassen, außerdem für einen Tierpark oder eine Auffangsstation ziemlich groß. Die Tiere haben viele Rückzugsmöglichkeiten um dich aus den Weg gehen zu können. Schön das die Tiere die Möglichkeit auf ein schönes, neues Leben bekommen!!!! Ich habe sehr Lust den Park noch einmal zu besuchen, es war sehr schön.

    Tierschutz mal richtig gemacht

    Ganz vorne stehen hier die Tiere.
    Das muss man wissen und keinen Zoo erwarten wo einem die Tere auf dem Silertablett päsentiert werden. Es kann also mal sein dass man 2 oder 3 Runden laufen muss um alle Tiere zu entdecken.
    Selbst dann kann es sein dass man mal nur 2 der 3 Luchse zu sehen bekommt aber das sind 100% mehr als wir jemals in der Natur sehen werden.
    Im Winter ist es deutlich ruhiger, sowohl was die Besucher als auch die Tiere angeht...weil zum Beispiel die Bären Winterruhe halten dürfen.
    Aber dafür sehen die Wölfe im Winter besonders schön aus.
