The Stiftsarmstollen is part of the Almkanal. This was built more than 860 years ago to supply water. This makes the Stiftsarmstollen probably the oldest water pipe tunnel in Central Europe - and it is still in use today. Every year, during the Almabkehr in September, this impressive tunnel can be visited as part of a guided tour lasting around one hour.

Note: Since the Almabkehr dates are different every year, the details of the tours can be found on the website. The times given here are only general times and can change every year.
Please make sure to wear rubber boots and warm clothing and bring a flashlight! The tours are very popular, so book in good time.
