Description Destination
At the Geisterberg in St. Johann the motto during the summer months is “Welcome to the realm of the funny ghosts”. Along the hiking trails, most of which are suitable for strollers, there are more than 40 large and small play stations for children, spread across four adventure worlds: the fire spirits, earth spirits, water spirits and air spirits. The highlights here include the Ghost Mountain Castle, the Ghost Village, the water features, climbing towers, swings and numerous slides.
A spacious children's play paradise awaits you in front of the valley station of the Alpendorf gondola in St. Johann. From a giant zip line, trampolines and a downhill mini golf course to a wide variety of slides and swings, there is something for every taste. Then you take the gondola to the mountain station of the Geisterberg. From there, guests take the Geisterbergzug, a tractor train, to the center of the Geisterberg adventure world.
Drachis via ferrata is also popular for beginners and adventurous children aged 12 and over. Secured to a steel cable, the kids can climb the 40-meter-high dragon wall together with their parents. The necessary equipment for climbing can be rented at the valley station.

From Salzburg take the A10 Tauernbautobahn to the Pongau/Bischofshofen junction, then continue on the Pinzgauer Straße / B311 to the St. Johann - Süd / Alpendorf exit - follow the Alpendorfstraße to Alpendorf.
Coming from Zell am See, take the Pinzgauer Straße / B311 to the St. Johann - Süd / Alpendorf exit - follow the Alpendorfstraße to Alpendorf.
The valley station of the Alpendorf gondola is located directly at the entrance to Alpendorf on the right-hand side. There are also plenty of free parking spaces available there.
Arriving by train
The St. Johann im Pongau train station is easily accessible both regionally and by long-distance train from many major Austrian and German cities. For (most) arriving long-distance trains, there is a direct bus connection from St. Johann station to Alpendorf. The search mask on OEBB.at is designed in such a way that the search term “Snow Space Salzburg” automatically displays the fastest connection to the cable cars to Alpendorf.
