In the ghost forest in Russbach am Pass Gschütt, hiking becomes a game for children. Along the way, many forest marble runs and lovingly designed forest spirits await, arousing curiosity step by step. Instead of “How much longer?” The question here is: "Where is the next station?"
Hiking that motivates children
The numerous forest ball tracks provide movement and excitement. Throw in the ball, run after it, try it out. Each railway works differently. Families also encounter little ghosts who accompany them on their journey and stimulate their imagination.
One highlight is the ghost hunt. This station is one of the most popular in the entire forest. Children actively immerse themselves in the game and are eager to continue. That's exactly what makes the difference: The little ones voluntarily go further because they don't want to miss anything. This results in a relaxed hike with a natural flow of movement for parents.
Three routes, one experience
The blue route is well suited for younger children and leisurely hiking.
The red route leads slightly higher and offers additional play stations.
The black section is aimed at more athletic hikers.
The slide path, which leads from the red route back down to the blue one, is particularly popular. Here, the descent becomes a pleasure. Sliding downhill instead of just walking downhill makes the way back really fun for children.

BY CAR
Coming from Vienna on the A1 or from Munich on the A9, drive to the Salzburg junction and then continue on the Tauern Autobahn A10 towards Villach. Leave the motorway at the Golling exit (Exit 28). Now drive towards Lammertal and Abtenau, through the town of Abtenau and to Russbach.
Coming from Villach/Graz on the Tauern Autobahn A10, you can leave the motorway in Eben/Pongau (Exit 60). You pass St. Martin and Annaberg-Lungötz before arriving in Russbach.
