Description Destination

The "Häusl am Stein" is probably one of the most curious buildings in all of South Tyrol. The story behind it is like a fairy tale. There used to be several small farmhouses below St. Pankraz on the Falschauer stream. In 1882, after a storm, the Falschauer river flooded heavily and the floodwaters swept away all the houses - with the exception of one that had been built by chance on a huge boulder that was suddenly visible. To this day, the "Häusl am Stein" stands bravely on the rock and defies the times.
