Description Destination

The Hermannshöhle is the largest stalactite cave in Lower Austria and is important for the survival of bats, which like to use it as a winter quarters. Here you can marvel at stalactites, (sleeping) bats and rock formations and breathe the healthy, germ-free air. Our state-certified cave guides also offer specialist background knowledge.
From the car park (also for buses) you walk about 5 minutes to the cave entrance, where you are greeted by the cave guide. The tour itself takes about 1 hour 15 minutes, including the return to the cave entrance.

Note: There is also the option of taking an adventure tour without electric lighting and on old, no longer developed paths.

On operating days the cave is open from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. These vary depending on the season and can be seen on the website.
Main tour times: 9:30, 11:00, 13:30, 15:00 and 16:30h - additional tours as required and subject to availability.
