Description Destination

On the two routes "Gipfelweg" and "Burgweg" the children can experience continents up close while travelling. You can create mountains or learn how and why stones move. You can dive into the seas of prehistoric times or experience first-hand what the life of a knight in a castle was like.
Castle Trail and Summit Trail (part of the Ice Age Circular Trail)
Both paths lead to the summit of the Große Plaike, which is just over 1000 meters high. Manti the clever mammoth, Sissy the resourceful mouse, the grumpy Neanderthal and our earth accompany the adventurers. Along a length of approximately 2.4 km you will find information and experience stations about the Ice Age, the Stone Age, our earth, our climate and our environment.

Route info: Length approx. 2.5 km, approx. 400 m elevation, forest path, good footwear necessary, recommended. Season: April - end of October, not suitable for strollers
