Coming from the north / south (toll € 6.00): A10 Tauern motorway to the St. Michael im Lungau exit – keep right after the toll booth – go straight on – immediately after the St. Michael sign turn left uphill – follow the signs.
Coming from the east: B317 in Scheifling turn onto the B96 towards Murau/A10 Tauern motorway – continue towards Tamsweg – straight on – at Mauterndorf keep towards A10 Tauern motorway – straight on towards A10 Tauernautbahn/St. Michael – turn left into the town – shortly before the end of the town (town sign) take a sharp right turn – follow the signs.
Coming from the south (no tunnel toll): A10 Tauern motorway to the Rennweg exit – take the B99 over the Katschberg – turn left into the town of St. Michael – shortly before the end of the town there is a sharp right turn – follow the signs. Attention: Snow chains are compulsory in winter; steep incline!
Coming from the north (no tunnel toll): A10 Tauern motorway to the Radstadt exit – take the B99 to Radstadt – continue along the B99 towards Obertauern/Radstädter Tauern – at Mauterndorf keep towards St. Michael/A10 Tauern motorway – turn left into the town – just before the end of the town (town sign) there is a sharp right turn – follow the signs. Attention: Radstädter Tauern partially closed in winter!
