Description Destination

The Kreealm-Bichlhütte is located at the entrance to the Hohe Tauern National Park in the mountain village of Hüttschlag at an altitude of 1,570 meters and is the upper of the two Kreealmen.

It takes about 1.5 hours to hike to this alpine pasture. The alpine pastures around Kreealmen are among the areas in the Großaltal that are richest in wildlife and plants. Hikers are treated to homemade products. There is a small pond and a large playground for younger hikers.

    You can either choose to hike from the Stockham car park towards the end of the valley. You have to take the turnoff to the left after the first bridge. There is a steep climb and then a gentle climb. Or you can take the hiking trail to the Kreealm. This also starts at the Stockham car park towards the end of the valley.
