Description Destination
From the starting point opposite the Hotel Rohrmooserhof in Rohrmoos, the path leads past the Hotel Schwaigerhof along lovingly designed fairy tale figures and play equipment to the Hexenhäusl. Continue along the Lans-Strobl-Weg to Rohrmoosstraße, follow the road downhill to Haus Primps, after about 200 m cross the road and follow the forest path to the Hochwurzen summit cable car. From there, turn left past the Hotel Waldfrieden back to the starting point.
Note: The entire path is generally suitable for strollers, but from the Hexenhäusl station to Rohrmoosstraße the climb on the Lans-Strobl-Weg is a little steeper.

The fairytale trail in Rohrmoos has been a popular circular hiking trail for families for decades. The stroller-friendly circular trail leads across sunny meadows and a mysterious fairytale forest in the Upper Rohrmoos.
Along the trail, you can not only enjoy the fantastic view of the Dachstein massif opposite and the mountain town of Schladming. Especially for children, one highlight follows the next: a Viking ship, a flying fox, a viewing platform, slides and seesaws are just some of the attractions along the fairytale-like stations.
Another big highlight of the trail is the completely newly built witch's house, where the witch waits for the children with Hansel and Gretel. But watch out! Otherwise the witch might lock you in the cage with Hansel!
The fairytale trail is just one of many family-friendly trails in the Schladming-Dachstein region - there is a lot to discover!
