On the themed trail in the Lammertal, you can discover the nature of the Tennengau and the element of water up close. This is not only ensured by the wild and romantic Schwarzenbach itself, but also by the "Old Mill". It is a historic grain mill from the 17th century, which was still in use until 1958. From the trail, you can even watch the water rush down the stream when the snow melts. Then it continues up to the Winner waterfall, where the water plunges into the depths with a loud roar. From the vantage point of the imposing Tennengebirge, the family hike then leads back to the start.
A special section of the mill circular trail, which is accessible free of charge, is the Herzerlweg. This is a particular highlight for young hikers, because you have to count the numerous hearts along the trail. So you definitely won't get bored while hiking the mill circular trail in Scheffau in the Tennengau.

    Overall impression

    Super halbtages-Wanderung bei Hitze mit imposanten Wasserfällen

    Ein echter Tipp bei Schönwetter und Hitze:
    Mühlenweg, bzw. Weg zur alten Mühle in Scheffau im Tennengebirge! Ist super mit Kinderwagen bis kurz vor den Wasserfällen, ab dann muss die Trage ausgepackt werden, aber es lohnt sich zum großen Wasserfall rauf zu gehen. Scheinbar gibt es aber noch eine andere Route (nicht beschildert) die etwas kinderwagenfreundlicher ist.

    Insgesamt ist der Weg aber super für kleine Kinder. Es gibt viel zu entdecken und vor allem bei Hitze ist der Weg entlang vom Bach wundervoll.
