Description Destination

Around the year 826, Bishop Radolf of Verona had a church and apartments for his clergy built in the immediate vicinity of an existing settlement, the Cella Ratoldi. The Minster of Our Lady now stands on this site and houses the relics of the holy owners Theopont, Senesius and Zeno. The foundation stone of the late Gothic basilica was laid in 1436 and it was completed in 1550. It is a striking landmark of Radolfzell, not only spiritually and as a parish church, but also architecturally and in terms of urban development. At 82 m high, the Radolfzell Minster has the highest church tower on Lake Constance.
