The Golling Castle Museum boasts an extensive collection, some of which includes objects of international standing, and, with its various themed worlds, is considered one of the most renowned regional museums in the state of Salzburg.

In addition to the history of Golling Castle, the museum includes:
- Fossils of the Primordial Ocean
- Mineral Worlds
- A unique clock collection
- A historic clock workshop
- Historical landscape paintings

and special exhibitions in various themed worlds that explore the regional natural and cultural history of the valley and mountain regions along the Salzach River.

Guided tours are available upon request.

    Due to its central location, the Golling Castle Museum is very well connected to public transport. You can reach us by regular bus, train, and S-Bahn connections of the Austrian Federal Railways. From the "Golling-Abtenau" train station, the Golling Castle Museum is a 10-minute walk away.

    By car, you can reach us from Vienna or Munich, taking the Tauern Autobahn (A10) towards "Villach, Graz," and taking the "Golling" exit (no. 28). After the junction, turn left at the intersection onto the Salzachtalbundesstraße (B159) and drive into the center of Golling.
