Description Destination

Altitude 649m, 60 ha area, 900 m long, 900 m wide, approx. 28 m deep. Nature reserve at the foot of the Totes Gebirge. Crystal clear water, free natural bathing beaches, gently sloping shore areas (particularly suitable for children and non-swimmers), snack station at the "Seeau", well-laid out circular hiking trail, starting point for long hikes or a mountain bike tour, good route for walking or running (it is 5 km around the lake), former hunting lodge of Emperor Franz Josef. Diving is prohibited, dogs are not allowed on the lawns during bathing time. When walking, dogs must be kept on a leash or wear a muzzle.
In winter, the left side of the lake is usually cleared up to the rear area, sometimes the lake freezes over completely.
