Description Destination

In six minutes, conquer around 600 metres of altitude and experience another world – far away from the hustle and bustle of the city, on the 1064 m high Pfänder.
Lots of nature and the panoramic view of 240, often snow-covered, Alpine peaks and Lake Constance let your thoughts wander. The many hiking trails or a visit to the animals in the Alpine Wildlife Park invite you to enjoy.
Best entertainment for young and old
Families enjoy the playground directly at the mountain station. The bungee trampoline is ideal for letting off steam (during high season). Deer, ibexes, wild boars, mouflons and marmots roam the adjacent Alpine wildlife park. You can relax wonderfully on the Rhine Valley viewing terrace with the wellness benches and on the 360° panoramic terrace above the mountain station.
Active nature experience
Whether a leisurely 30-minute circular hike through the Alpine Wildlife Park, a hike along the cheese hiking trail or a sporty tour from the valley to the Pfänderspitze - the Pfänder is the ideal starting point for exploring the landscape.
Culinary delights
The Berghaus Pfänder panoramic restaurant, decorated in Alpine style and with a panoramic terrace – right next to the mountain station – invites you to linger and stop for a bite to eat from 10 May to 23 September. Exquisite menus, hearty snacks and homemade cakes and tarts make guests' hearts beat faster. It is particularly cozy on the terrace with a wonderful view.
getting there
Take the train up to the Pfänder and cycle down into the valley: Bicycle transport is free from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., after that there is a fee. We also particularly recommend travelling to Bregenz by scheduled boat – the harbour is only a 7-minute walk away.

    Entweder mit der Bahn hinauf oder zu Fuß - der Ausblick oben ist wunderschön über das 3-Länder-Eck.
    Auf dem Pfänder gibt es einen Rundwanderweg der an zahlreichen Tiergehegen (Heimische Wildtiere) vorbeiführt (gratis).
    Es gibt einen Spielplatz und mehrere Einkehrmöglichkeiten.
