Description Destination
The hike starts at the Schneeberg car park and first leads along the forest road no. 5 in the direction of the Pertinger Alm (managed). Halfway there is a turnoff to the left through the forest to the Devil's Stone. According to legend, the Mühlwald farmers once angered the devil, who swore revenge. The devil wanted to roll a stone from the Mutenock down to Mühlwald. To do this, he chose the shortest route. But because the stone was heavy, he had to rest and did not notice that the morning was beginning to dawn. When the prayer bell rang to greet the morning, the devil had to leave the stone behind and flee to the underworld. This is why the stone still lies in the middle of the forest today.
The path continues through the forest to the Pertinger Alm, which is manned. Once you reach the top, you have a great panoramic view of the Pustertal, and far away from the hustle and bustle of the city, you will be treated to local specialties.
