The Salzbergbahn and panorama lift take you safely and comfortably to 900 meters above sea level in just 3 minutes. The viewing platform extends 12 meters into the abyss and hovers 360 meters above the ground. A walk through the world-famous Hallstatt high valley, a thousand-year-old cultural landscape, a visit to the salt mines and of course the spectacular view of the UNESCO World Heritage site of Hallstatt will make your trip an unforgettable experience!
Information on accessibility:
During the construction phase (April 22, 2025 - June 2026), the Hallstatt Salzbergbahn and the Hallstatt high valley will no longer be accessible for wheelchair users. We very much regret this and ask for your understanding.
