Description Destination

The mighty building of Schenna Castle above Merano is surrounded by a moat that is still partially visible. A bridge leads to the entrance gate of Schenna Castle and past the castle dungeon into the inner courtyard. There, an open staircase leads to the castle chambers. Schenna Castle in South Tyrol can be visited except for the wing with the private rooms of the count's family. The halls and stately rooms house a painting and portrait gallery, a weapons collection and numerous art historical objects relating to Tyrolean history. Tours only with a guide.
