Description Destination

Weissenstein Castle is one of the best preserved cultural monuments in Europe, as it was never destroyed or plundered in any war. For more than 300 years, the baroque residence has delighted visitors from near and far. The builder, Elector Lothar Franz von Schönborn, built his private castle according to his own particular taste and the influences of his time. Johann Dientzenhofer and Johann Lucas von Hildebrandt were responsible for the planning, and between 1711 and 1718 a unique castle was built that still allows you to experience the era of pomp, splendor and powder to this day.
