The Kaufbeuren City Museum is a city history museum with many media and interactive stations as well as a children's trail. The history of the imperial city is shown, furnished rooms from the early days of the museum, the time of religious disputes, textile production in Kaufbeuren, Kaufbeuren writers, Saint Crescentia and the special collections of crucifixes and Protestant reverse glass paintings.

By car: B12 exit Kaufbeuren, head towards the city center.
Please note: The Kaufbeuren City Museum is located in the middle of the pedestrian zone of the old town, parking directly at the building is not possible for buses or cars. It is best to park your car in the south parking garage and walk through the well-preserved medieval old town to the museum building.
The footpath from the south parking garage: From Innere Buchleuthe street (South parking garage location), cross Schraderstraße. Then follow Am Breiten Bach street for around 400 meters until Kaisergäßchen branches off to the right.
By train: Follow the guidance system to the city museum from Kaufbeuren train station. The approximately 1 km long path takes you through the picturesque Jordan Park.
The footpath to the city museum is signposted throughout the old town area.
