In summer, holidaymakers at Hauser Kaibling get their money's worth with mountain biking, hiking, paragliding, mountaineering and, above all, with the numerous family activities. Discover fabulous places and the most beautiful viewpoints, such as from the summit at 2,015 meters.
With 800 sheep on the mountain and our petting zoo at the 8-seater gondola mountain station at 1,424 meters above sea level, you can meet our woolly sheep, lambs, goats, rabbits, ponies and much more. experience up close.

Walking on water? Without getting wet? What sounds like a biblical miracle is great summer fun for young and old. On the banks of the Kaiblingalm reservoir you can step into giant balls and simply walk over the cool water. Our Water Zorbing team is there for you every day.
Our sheep sense barefoot path along the reservoir gives you a feel for sheep. The different soil conditions such as moss, gravel, sand, forest soil and much more. let us feel what our sheep feel under their hooves every day.
Attention climbers: On the new sheep via ferrata you can climb over tree trunks, stilts, stones and much more. Show off your climbing skills – without a harness or carabiner.
The fun sheep jumping, sheep whispering, cozy rest areas with fantastic views of the Dachstein and much more round off the range of experiences at the Schafsinnteich.

- Information on opening hours: From June 19 to September 28, 2025, the 8-seater gondola and 8-seater chairlift Kaiblinggrat will take you daily to the Styrian pleasure mountain. Additionally, the Schladminger Tauern cable car in Haus will be open daily from June 27 to October 19, 2025. With your Summer Card, you can use our lifts for FREE.

From Germany:
Coming from Germany, you can easily take the Munich-Salzburg motorway and then the Tauern motorway (A10) to the Ennstal junction. From there it is only about 30 km via the federal highway (B320) to the Hauser Kaibling ski area.
From Upper Austria/Germany:
An alternative route leads from Nuremberg via Regensburg and Passau to the Voralpenkreuz in Wels. From there, continue on the Pyhrn motorway (A9) to the Selzthal junction and from there on the federal road (B320) towards Haus im Ennstal.
From Vienna:
Coming from the east, you arrive via Vienna (A23) and the Southern Autobahn (A2), then via the Semmering (S6) to the St. Michael junction. From there, take the Pyhrn motorway (A9) to the Liezen junction and then the Ennstal federal road (B320) to Haus im Ennstal.
Arrival by train:
The Hauser Kaibling ski area is located on the international Salzburg-Graz railway line. Express train stations are Schladming and Gröbming, express train stations are Haus im Ennstal and Öblarn.
From the valley station of the 8-seater gondola, take the cable car from the car park/bus stop to the mountain station.
