Hikers beware! The name of the Üble Schlucht is a little misleading as to its beauty. Two alpine paths lead down to the water. Please be careful - it can be quite slippery!
But once you've made it down, the view is overwhelming. The 500 m long gorge is largely untouched and is one of the European protected areas.
In addition to many mosses and ferns, fish such as brown trout also thrive in the gorge.
In the winter months, the Üble Schlucht is closed because it would otherwise be too dangerous due to rockfalls. In summer, however, it is a breathtaking and, above all, cool excursion idea.
