The Neckarfront is the most famous photo motif of the university town. From the Neckar Bridge you have the most beautiful view of Tübingen’s “chocolate side”. The collegiate church, the Hölderlin Tower, the Burse, the Evangelical Abbey and the Hohentübingen Castle are lined up upstream like a string of pearls.
The best way to enjoy the Neckarfront is on a punting trip. It is undoubtedly one of those leisure activities that is as distinctively a part of Tübingen as the Hölderlin Tower is to the Neckarfront.
Individuals and visitors to Tübingen who decide spontaneously have the opportunity to enjoy a one-hour trip along the romantic Neckarfront every day with the tourist association. Because a leisurely punting trip is and remains an unforgettable and cheerful Tübingen pleasure.
Trips daily from May to September, daily at 1 p.m., Saturdays also at 5 p.m., tickets only available in advance from the tourist office at the Neckar Bridge. For groups of 5 or more, please book a private punting boat on your preferred date.
