Description Destination
On the wonderfully soft alpine pasture where the Preuneggbach stream originates and there are many small streams, a stroller-friendly family circular trail was built with great love for nature.
On the 1.4 km long circular trail, you can find out about the legendary miners' history of the Ursprungalm and Giglachseen using information boards. There is also information and exhibitions about the recordings of the Heidi film in 1988 (with Charlie Sheen in one of the main roles) and about the geological peculiarities of the limestone of the Styrian and Lungau Kalkspitze. After the short circular trail, the Ursprungalm invites you to linger and enjoy.

Take the Planai-Hochwurzen-Bahnen buses from Schladming (Planet Planai, Lendplatz) or Rohrmoos (Rohrmoos-Zentrum, Untertal-Dorf) to the Ursprungalm.

Directions
In Pichl, exit the B320 Ennstalbundesstraße and take the Preuneggstraße towards Ursprungalm/Reiteralm. Passing the valley station of the Preunegg-Jet, you reach the toll station at the Strickbrücke. You drive along the toll road - a gravel road - past the Moarhofalm to the parking spaces at the Ursprungalm at 1,600 m above sea level.
An alternative route is possible from Schladming via Rohrmoos and the Hohenbergstraße. Here you also reach the rope bridge. From here on, the same directions apply as before.
Park
The best way to get to the starting point at the Ursprungalm is to take the hiking bus. The best place to park is directly at Planet Planai or in the center of Rohrmoos, where there are plenty of parking spaces. There are also parking spaces at the Ursprungalm.
