Description Destination

The 65 km long, narrow-gauge Salzkammergut Local Railway, opened in 1894, connected Bad Ischl with Salzburg until 1957. In St. Lorenz, the 3.5 km long branch line to Mondsee branched off.
The railway's engine house built here has been preserved and was painstakingly converted into the Salzkammergut Local Railway Museum between 1988 and 1996.
