Description Destination

In 2000, the Maranatha, the most imaginative nativity scene in Europe, was opened in Luttach after four years of construction. Since then, the museum has been expanded several times. The outdoor area, the visions for folk art and nativity scenes, and the sculptor's workshop have been completely redesigned. In the flower garden and on a good 1,300 m² of exhibition space, works of art from various countries are on display. If you take your time and observe carefully, you will experience the development of carving from the beginnings of tool making to root and mask carving, to today's modern sculpture in the Ahrntal.
