Description Destination

The Damüls rectory was first built in 1608 and received its current appearance during the reconstruction in 1882 and the renovation in 2017. The last pastor to work here was the well-known Mellau resident Reinhold Simma, who is still vividly remembered by many people. Together with the directly attached parish stable, this ensemble provides ideal conditions for exhibitions of all kinds as well as for smaller cultural events.
An important part of the vicarage setting is the integrated ski museum. The exhibition was completely revised in the summer of 2017 and received the official award "FIS Ski Museum Damüls" from the FIS.
The exhibition covers 130 years of Vorarlberg skiing history as well as Vorarlberg ski racing history. On the 2nd floor there is currently a special exhibition "Pioneering spirit. How people shaped tourism." This exhibition portrays people who were active in the early years of tourism in Damüls / Faschina.
