Description Destination
The Maurer Forest is a large, wooded excursion area on the southwestern outskirts of Vienna. Many hiking trails lead through the Maurer Forest, including the city hiking trails no. 6 and 6a, which is why the area is a popular destination for family outings.
The excursion restaurant "Zur Schießstätte", named after a former civilian shooting range, is located in the center of the Maurer Forest and offers fine dishes made from regional ingredients. It can be reached in about 10 minutes on foot from the car park at the end of Maurer-Lange-Gasse.
The fenced playground is right next to the guest house. Here, young and old can really let off steam after a walk in the green - there is a sandpit, swings, a climbing tower with a slide and a climbing wall.
